The CILS (Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language), issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena, is internationally recognized and covers 6 levels (A1–C2). The exam evaluates listening, reading, grammar, writing, and speaking, and each part can be retaken separately, so you can approach it with confidence.
The B2 level is especially important: it not only opens doors to studying and working in Italy, but it is also one of the official requirements for applying for Italian citizenship. The CILS is the most reliable way to certify your Italian and demonstrate your real level.
The CELI (Certificate of Knowledge of the Italian Language), issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia, is an official certification recognized internationally, with 6 levels (A1–C2).
The exam assesses listening, reading, writing, and speaking, with tests designed to reflect real-life language use. Levels B1/B2 are essential for studying, working, or applying for Italian citizenship.
Choosing CELI means obtaining a reliable, recognized certification that meets European standards, perfect for demonstrating your Italian skills at an international level.

We’re proud to say that our students have had nothing but success in their official exam preparations. Every student who has completed our program has achieved their certification goal, thanks to our personalized approach, targeted practice, and ongoing support.
We offer full preparation for each certification. However, official exams must be taken at accredited exam centers. We’ll help you find the nearest testing location and the upcoming exam dates.
All preparation is individual. You can take lessons on your own, with one or two friends, or in a small class if all participants have the same level and certification goal. Lessons are fully customized and include exercises, mock exams, and guided conversation sessions.
The length of your preparation depends on your current level and the certification level you wish to achieve.
If your level is still far from your goal, you can start by joining group language courses to strengthen your general Italian skills, and then — either afterward or in parallel — follow an individual and targeted preparation program focused specifically on the exam.
